First time at home with Luke

This little guy is so cute, so fragile, wobbles when he walks (definitely has the cute monster toddler walk), doesn't fit into any of the clothes we brought, a bit unsure of himself, and he is all ours. He loves to tease and within minutes was teasing his sister. He would notice something she liked to do, or something she liked, then pretend to take it with a twinkle in his eye. Abi played along, and I could tell a sibling bond was happening already. Oh my, here comes my tears again. It is hard to explain what it is like to witness when a bond first is happening in an adoptive family. There is a locking of eyes and hearts, and you can inside that little heart the first time that the adopted child says, "I think I can trust you. I think I like this world." It is truly amazing. So here are pictures of our first time together, just the four of us. Abi wanted to play with little brother in his crib, so she climbed in there, and we put him in there with her, and the rest is history...

Their first big laugh together!

Look at him looking at her...beautiful
I love those big brown eyes!
Pure joy
They were having so much fun!!
That face!! And Abi's eyes looking at him! She literally could not take her eyes or hands off of him.
Look at him with his hands on his hips! He was being very cheeky with his bottle. He is in the right family with his cheekiness!
Some big Baba bonding has already been happening!
My boy!

  3. I don't even know what letters to type to express the amount of squealing that's going on inside of me right now! I love, love his happy, smiley face! He is so full of joy and love with you. The photos of him and Abi, priceless. Home safe and sound in his parents arms with his protective big sister by his side. All is right in his world! Enjoy every minute, we can't wait to see him in the flesh. Thank you for taking time to share these precious moments with the rest of us waiting at the window, peering in, hoping to catch a glimpse of the awesome wonder that is your life right now. xoxoxo
